Golf Course
The Shelter Cove Golf Links are located a short walk from the Oceanfront Inn. It is a nine hole links course covering 2,428 yards. Par is 33 for the men and 34 for the ladies. It includes one par 5, four par 4, and four par 3 holes. The slope rating is 103. This is a walking course, so no carts are available for rent. Green fees are $15, payable with cash or card at the computer kiosk at the first hole. Tee time reservations are not accepted.
The front side of the course has some dog legs and interesting hills to navigate. There are streams, gullies and sand traps to make it interesting. The back side is fairly flat with houses on one side and the airstrip on the other. The ocean can be viewed throughout play. The main natural hazard you’ll come across is the herds of deer that nibble on the rough and take naps on the fairway.
This course is a member of the Northern California Golf Association. There is a NCGA computer at the club house for its members to register scores and calculate handicaps.
The Oceanfront Inn has two club sets and plenty of balls available for loan. Just ask at the lobby and we’ll take care of you.
